We have tested many different quantities of chia seed to liquid when making a Basic Chia Pudding, and have finally come up with the perfect ratio.
The ratio is as follows:
- 2 1/2 Tbsp Nutiva Organic Chia Seed
- 1/2 cup liquid (in this case, full-fat coconut milk)
Once you have that basic formula down, you are free to create the Chia Pudding of your choice. Really, the sky is the limit with flavors!

This parfait is organic, non-GMO, gluten free, dairy free, soy free, and Vegan. The Hazelnut Spread it uses has 40% less sugar than the leading brand, contains 5g Dietary Fiber, 450mg Omega-3, and uses Fair Trade Certified Palm Oil.
- Place chia seeds and coconut milk in a bowl. Stir until completely mixed together. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight. (Alternatively, you can place the chia seeds and coconut milk in a mason jar, shake vigorously, then place in the fridge overnight.)
- Once the chia mixture is ready, place the chia pudding on the bottom of a jar then layer with granola, Hazelnut Spread, and raspberries.
