Moroccan Spiced Oven Fries with Harissa Dipping Sauce

Spicy, healthy and easy, these oven fries pack a punch in the flavor department, with organic chia seed, coconut manna, and hemp oil.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 Medium Sized Baking Potatoes (or two large sweet potatoes)
  • 2 tbsp Nutiva Organic Hemp Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric (dried or powdered)
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon (dried or powdered)
  • 1/4 tsp Hot Paprika (dried or powdered)
  • 1/4 tsp White Pepper (dried or powdered)
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin (dried or powdered)
  • 1/4 tsp Kosher Salt (dried or powdered)
  • 1 tbsp Nutiva Organic Chia Seeds
  • Parchment Paper
  • Harissa Dipping Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup Nutiva Organic Coconut Manna™
  • 1/4 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Harissa Paste
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 357 degrees
  2. Cut the potato into 1/4 inch slabs and then into sticks
  3. Mix spices and seeds together
  4. Place potatoes into a large bowl, coat with oil and then add in seed/spice mixture, being sure to distribute the spice over each "fry".
  5. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Lay potatoes out on the sheet ensuring one layer (Note: overlapping layers will cause the potatoes to steam not crisp)
  7. Bake potatoes in the oven for 25-30 minutes, turning them halfway through the baking time.
  8. Harissa Dipping Sauce:
  9. Ensure your manna is a room temp and smooth.
  10. Add all other ingredients to manna and mix well. Note: this is a spicy sauce, if you like a little less kick decrease the amount of Harissa paste.
